What You'll Be Doing

The Campaign Manager is responsible for planning, building, executing, and optimising multi‑channel campaigns using the Dotdigital platform. This role drives customer engagement, retention, and revenue through targeted segmentation, automation, and personalised communications

Key Responsibilities

1. Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute email, SMS, and multi‑channel marketing campaigns via Dotdigital
  • Build campaigns using dynamic content, personalisation, and conditional logic
  • Manage campaign calendars in line with commercial goals and seasonal activity

2. Automation & Customer Journeys

  • Design, build and maintain automated workflows including lead nurture journeys and triggered campaigns based on behaviour or lifecycle stage
  • Monitor journey performance and continuously optimise

3. Segmentation & Data Management

  • Create targeted contact segments using behavioural, demographic, and transactional data
  • Maintain list hygiene, manage suppressions, and support GDPR/PECR compliance
  • Collaborate with CRM/data teams to ensure accurate system syncing

4. Testing & Optimisation

  • Run A/B and multivariate tests (subject lines, send time, layout, CTAs)
  • Analyse results to strengthen campaign strategy
  • Use heatmaps, engagement metrics, and Dotdigital insights to improve performance

5. Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce weekly/monthly performance reports
  • Track opens, clicks, conversions, revenue attribution, and engagement trends
  • Provide clear insights and recommendations to leadership team

6. Compliance & Deliverability

  • Monitor sender reputation and deliverability
  • Ensure all communications follow GDPR and PECR
  • Maintain compliant opt-in, opt-out, and preference centre processes

7. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work with internal & 3rd Party stakeholders to source assets and brief requirements
  • Partner with sales and customer experience teams to create cohesive cross‑channel messaging

8. Platform Ownership

  • Maintain templates, brand themes, and reusable campaign blocks
  • Oversee user access and permissions
  • Act as the in‑house Dotdigital expert and key liaison with the Dotdigital Customer Success team

  • Proven experience managing campaigns using Dotdigital or similar ESP/automation platform
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, personalisation, and automation logic
  • Ability to analyse campaign results and derive actionable insights
  • Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and QA mindset
  • Working knowledge of GDPR/PECR compliance for marketing communications
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally and managing multiple deadlines
